Personalised Holistic Treatments

Welcome to Helen Tsui Holistic Therapies

Hi my name is Helen welcome to my website - it's lovely to have you here. If you can't find what you are looking for on my website get in touch with me via the contact details on this page, I would love to hear from you.

I provide reflexology treatments and hypnobirthing classes in Whyteleafe, Caterham and surrounding areas that are adapted to your specific needs. Reflexology treatments are also provided at Newlife clinic in Epsom. I am here to provide a reflexology treatment that brings you in touch with your body and activates your own natural capacity for healing, and with Hypnobirthing to give you the tools to have the birthing experience you desire.

Sessions can be delivered either from my practice, at Newlife Clinic or at your home, with me taking care to ensure you are always comfortable and have your particular needs met. My role is to create a welcoming, calming space where we provide the tools you need to allow your body to do what it does naturally.

If you would like to know more about my reflexology treatments and/or hypnobirthing classes in Whyteleafe, Caterham and the surrounding areas, please get in touch.

Reflexology

Reflexology is a holistic complementary therapy that involves gently manipulating reflex points on your feet that correspond to different organs and systems in the body via the nervous system. Activating these zones kickstarts your body’s own natural capacity for healing by helping to reduce the impact of stressors on your body, leaving you feeling more energised and less tense.

Visit my Reflexology page for more information about this treatment.

Hypnobirthing

I provide hypnobirthing classes for expecting mothers and their partners, to help them prepare for the birth of their baby, working with the mother to learn more about their body. Our work will be all about supporting you to allow your body to do what it does naturally, as well as your birthing partner feeling confident they can support you effectively.

Initial Consultation

You are free to call me ask any questions about reflexology or hypnobirthing in Whyteleafe, Caterham and surrounding areas before committing to your first session or classes. Once you are happy to go ahead with a reflexology treatment, I will send you an online form to fill in, which asks questions about medical history, lifestyle, diet, along with what you wish to get out of our sessions, as this helps me personalise the reflexology treatment more closely to you.

We will then discuss this form at the start of our first session ahead of getting to work, with me always amending treatments to be as tailored to you as possible. Once you are happy to sign up to my Hypnobirthing classes, I will send you a form which just requests some basic information to help me prepare the classes so they are tailored to your specific needs.

My Location

Reflexology

Mondays I offer treatments at Newlife Clinic in Epsom appointments are from 9.30am to 5pm. The treatment rooms are beautiful spaces for you to get the most out of your treatment and support you in your fertility treatment.

Tuesday - Saturday I work from my home in Whyteleafe on the second floor – a peaceful, cosy, truly private space where you can feel secure and receive the treatment you need, with Himalayan salt lamps and scented waxes available to add a sense of real calm.

My practice is a 10-minute walk from Whyteleafe station and 15-minute walk Upper Warlingham station. There is unlimited parking right outside.

I also offer mobile treatments and I am happy to come to your home, providing it is within a 5-mile radius of Whyteleafe. This may be preferable for those who don’t have the time to travel or have issues with transport or mobility. I will bring all the equipment I need, including a specialist chair, which just leaves you to relax and unwind.

Hypnobirthing classes

These are held either in a hall in the Whyteleafe and Caterham area, or I can come to your home for private sessions. I also offer the course online for both individuals and groups.

Frequently asked questions

Is Reflexology painful?

No. Reflexology involves gentle touch, so you should never be in pain during sessions. You might feel a little discomfort at times, but that is just because I’m releasing pent-up tension. The feeling will pass quickly. If you do have a foot injury or sensitive part of your feet, however, please let me know, so I can alter the treatment.

Should I do anything to prepare for the treatment?

No, you just need to bring yourself. Clients often worry about me seeing their feet but there is no need to worry – I am a mother of two, with two jobs and I do a lot of running so my feet are not always looking their best either! It’s actually best that I see your feet as they are as that can tell me more. I will also do a foot soak and scrub before I begin the reflexology so don’t worry if you are coming to me straight from work. Many of my clients that I see at home in the evening like to have their pyjamas on as they get so comfortable and can go straight to bed from the treatment once I have left.

How will I feel after a Reflexology treatment?

Clients end the session feeling relaxed, even sleepy. You will be given time to slowly get ready to leave, and you’ll notice a new sense of calm and balance in your mind and body. Some clients need to go to the toilet more often or experience mild headaches, which is actually a good sign, as it shows toxins have been expelled from your body. It is a good idea to drink plenty of water afterwards and try where possible to avoid caffeine or alcohol until the day after your treatment.

Does Hypnobirthing involve any touch?

None at all. Hypnobirthing is essentially about education: you asking questions, sharing your feelings, and me delivering information about childbirth that helps you feel relaxed about the process, along with giving techniques that facilitate the process of releasing oxytocin and having the best possible birth.

Can I receive Hypnobirthing online?

Absolutely! Many people prefer to speak with me over Zoom, due to this platform making it easier for them to do the class alongside other commitments, as well as it can be less intimidating. We can work together online, or at your home, provided it is within a 5-mile radius of my home in Whyteleafe.

Can I speak to you before my appointment?

I understand that clients may be unsure about some aspect of either reflexology or hypnobirthing, so you are always free to call me up for a no-cost, no-obligation chat over the phone to ask me any questions and then have some time to decide if either treatment is right for you. There is no pressure to proceed if you don’t want to.

My practice is a safe, comfortable space where you can give yourself the attention you need and feel more in touch with your body. To ask any further questions about either Reflexology or Hypnobirthing in Whyteleafe, Caterham and surrounding areas, please give me a call or email.
